Framing in Photography

Framing in photography means to frame the center of interest with objects in the foreground. This gives the picture a feeling of depth it needs to make it more than just another snapshot.

The photo on the right does a better job at framing than the one at the left because all the mosaic paintings are in place and the viewer can focus on all 12 panels on the painting whereas the one on the left just focuses on one tile completely obscuring all the others.
